With a New Year comes New Resolutions!

I am writing this while at work in between patients. So It might be a lot of random off topic side notes. Like does there really have to be Christmas cookies still here!
Every year with exception of last year when I just had Roo, the first couple of months were honestly a blur, I make a new resolution for the New Year. I only do one I don't make a list because it takes the whole appeal out of it, it just ends up being another list.
Past New Years Resolution:
1)Loose weight-which that year I had this as a resolution-I did loose weight hella crazy whoop whoop
2)Make an effort with meeting new people. I moved to Brewster, NY from Stamford, Ct about WOW! almost 4 years ago. Which I did but I realized there are douches in Brewster just like in Stamford. This will probably be on my resolution again since I have a son now and I should be friends with some mommas in my area since mostly everything I do now is for my son. Even though a lot of mommas in my area are like 15 years older than me with a 1 year old, but that's a blog post for the future
3) Wake up in a happier mood, or just in general stop being so pessimistic. I'm not the grinch and I know a lot of stuff happens to people all the time it's just I'm the "hey let's let it fester and let this keep us awake" type of gal. So I made an effort the minute I got in the car in the morning to put on pandora comedy on my drive to work. It worked and really helped my mood in the morning.
4)Vacation more! I made my husband promise me this. If we went on vacations more it would help out with resolution #1 and #3 :) We went on one literally before I got pregnant and it was amazing!!! I personally think every couple should go on a vacation without KIDS! It's just something about going away and just letting your hair down. My husband works like crazy and I know it's easier to say then do. But that year I had this resolution we did go away and so that counts in my books :)
These resolutions have been on heavy rotation for the past 8 years. This year I decided on a new one and I know resolutions tend to be for yourself. But as a mother I have become more all about him.
So here goes. Now that my son has hit the 1 year mark and he is able to enjoy things more this will be fun for him and Jordan and I to do. Mind you I won't make my husband do this, since this is my resolution after-all, but if he happens to be home, why not.
To do something new and exciting once a month. You think, ughh wouldn't you do that anyways. There are soo many times we go somewhere and I don't really plan enough time or I do something that Zach is just too young to enjoy. Then it just ends up being something I did for myself and that it looks "good" when I post it on Facebook. In our household, weeks fly by! I sometimes work Saturdays at the office which makes the weekend feel even shorter.
My parents always worked, weekends, late night etc. The time they did have off was spent vegetating on the couch or going over to my cousins place. Which I can't get mad or hate them for, they did what they had to do. But I knew when Roo was born that quality time will be given to my son. Just for the fact that it wasn't really given to me by my parents.
So here's to a Happy and Healthy New Year! Make the year count!!

Well that's a First...

First post of a blog. I most likely will delete this and start a new one. Trying to figure this out is no easy task. I am a first time Momma, with a great but slightly annoying husband. When I was pregnant I loved going on www.babycenter.com and see other Momma's vent, cry and share all the joys of being pregnant. I still find myself on there from time to time-It's a good way for me not to feel like the only one.
I work part-time at a Dental Practice. Not like many people, I really do enjoy my job and the people I work with. I complain about it, but honestly who doesn't complain about work at one point. At the end of the day I like it and it pays the bills.
The other days I am not at work I am a stay at home mom extraordinaire. Haha NOT! My son Zachary turned 1 in the beginning of December. He is all the clichés in the momma book to me "apple of my eye" "I love him to the moon and back" "I can eat him all up"

But personally it isn't always "peaches and creams" and this is where my blog comes in. I know I know I am not the first Momma to set up a blog about the woes of parenthood and I wont be the last. I like to say Baby Sideburns is more of my inspiration, find her on facebook, read her book (tell me how you like it) she is hysterical. I don't think I drink that much haterade though, but get another kid out of my birthing canal I might be singing a new tune
So welcome, Read, Laugh at all my grammatical mistakes because honestly these post will be made when my rugrat is asleep, and if I can just have even one mother go "thank god I am not the only one" I am glad Because after all this is my "Happy Little Life"
